Where does the time go?

I have been really remiss in posting here about books I have read, and what books the booksellers at both stores of Liberty Bay Books have been enjoying so far in 2018. I will say both Madison and I listen to a book a week on Libro.fm. I love having a story told to me. A mystery I enjoyed listening to recently was Star of the North by D.B John. It's a thriller involving North Korea. I also enjoyed The Power by Naomi Alderman, Girl Power by electrical current! gone  a tad astray.  A fabulous historical read, which did make me so mad is Killers of the Flower Moon by David Grann. Bad US history that I didn't know anything about. So well written, but disturbing  to learn about this historical period of time in Oklahoma.  A book both Madison and I enjoyed is Little Fires Everywhere by Celeste Ng. Two families broken apart by secrets, lies... and so much more.

A fabulous Young Adult- Fantasy book is Children of Blood and Bone by Tomi Adeyemi and read by Bahni Turpin. A Fabulous voice along with a great story. So glad this is book one, Legacy of Orisha.  I cannot wait to continue the story of Zelie, a Prince and Princess.  Great cover as well. It is in the running for Jimmy Fallon's  2018 Summer Book Club read.  Yes I voted for this book.
